Diogo R. Ferreira

Diogo R. Ferreira is professor of information systems at IST - Technical University of Lisbon and is an active BPM researcher in the scientific community. He has over a decade of work and a dozen publications on BPM and on the applications of BPM systems to enterprise integration, quality management, and supply chain management. He holds a PhD from the University of Porto where he worked on the application of workflow systems to business networking and taught several BSc, MSc and PhD courses. In 2005 he received a best paper award for the application of learning and planning techniques to business process discovery. He joined the Technical University of Lisbon in 2006, where he is in charge of a BSc-level database systems course, a MSc-level enterprise integration course, and a PhD-level BPM course. His research interests include process mining, conformance, business process modeling, enterprise application integration, inter-organizational business processes, service-oriented architectures, and semantic web services.
