Jean-Luc Aschard joined EDF in 1981 as an engineer at the R & D Division working on generation and industrial applications of electricity. After positions from 1992 in the Generation and Transmission Division and from 1997 as a member of the Chairman's personal staff preparing market opening in France, he was appointed Sales Manager for Edenor in Argentina in 1999. Back in France in 2002, he became Small and Medium size Business & Private Customers Marketing Director, and prepared new commercial offers for the opening of the SMB customer market in July 2004. Since 2004, he has been running the Paris Region Sales Division dedicated to Business and Local Authority customers.
